Nose: Smoky, well-asserted from the top note. Citrus notes reminding of grapefruit and lemon peel, aroma accompanied by smoky malt and soil.
Taste: Tender malt-derived sweetness, peat bitterness, smokiness spreading powerfully with a touch of citrus.
Lingering: Peaty and powerful, with burnt straw, citrus cotton A single malt with the full peaty character that is the commitment of the Saburomaru Distillery, with a gentle, mild mouthfeel and aroma with little clutter despite its three-year aging period.
We hope that this gentle yet powerful flavor will encourage the earliest possible recovery of the area, and provide a cheer to the affected region in Japan.
