Nose: straightforward and gentle, strong oak vanilla, apricot skin, white peach, white grape skin, honey, a little wax, kompeito sugar, grapefruit zest, grapefruit cotton.
Taste: medium-bodied, more firm than the alcohol volume, gentle apricot and white peach, a little waxy, grapefruit zest, grapefruit jelly, pleasant oak tannins and citrus peel accents and a lingering finish.
Overall: A long-aged Speyside malt. Attractive in flavor and grapefruit-like citrus, a bottle with more solid and satisfying characteristics than its alcohol volume indicates.
